Danish Tech Startups Discuss ₴26M Investment for Mykolaiv's Recovery

A meeting was held in Mykolaiv between representatives of Denmark and local authorities to discuss investments and technological support. Cooperation with Danish universities and businesses is planned to help develop industry and science.

A meeting was held in Mykolaiv between Esben Gadsboll, chairman of Danish Tech Startups, and Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration. They discussed opportunities for cooperation in technology, investment and interaction between Ukrainian and Danish companies.
Esben Gadsboll emphasized the importance of accelerating processes that can help Ukraine attract the necessary investments and technological support. The parties also discussed cooperation with Danish universities that have a high level of research and are interested in exchanging with Ukrainian educational institutions.
Vitaly Kim noted that there are already companies in Mykolaiv region that are ready to scale up and emphasized the importance of supporting such enterprises. He emphasized that cooperation with international partners would help develop industry and technology in both countries and help Ukraine during the war. The meeting was an important step towards the development of technology, investment and innovation.
Danish companies are also planning to cooperate with Mykolaiv entrepreneurs through the export credit agency EIFO, and state-owned enterprises will be able to receive loans in the form of grants under certain conditions.
In early March, Denmark allocated more than €26 million to Mykolaiv region to restore energy, transportation, water supply, and humanitarian demining, as well as to improve critical infrastructure and security in the region.
In January, international partners offered assistance in the region's recovery, including through UNDP's cooperation with Denmark. This includes financial and technical support to rebuild critical facilities, stimulate economic growth and strengthen local governance. The emphasis is on supporting small and medium-sized businesses, developing economic sectors and creating jobs for veterans.
