Danish companies are planning to cooperate with Mykolaiv region entrepreneurs, in particular through the export credit agency EIFO. State-owned enterprises can receive a loan in the form of a grant under certain conditions.
This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
According to Vitaliy Kim, head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, more than 150 companies from Denmark are interested in cooperating with Ukrainian entrepreneurs, particularly in Mykolaiv.
Potential investors are currently looking for partners and new markets, and are also considering cooperation through the Danish export credit agency EIFO. In order to receive financing, 30% of products must be Danish-made.
In addition, state-owned enterprises can apply for 40% of the loan in the form of a grant under certain conditions. This initiative was the result of negotiations between Mykolaiv Regional State Administration and international partners and is aimed at attracting investment and developing the region's economy.
Denmark has recently allocated more than EUR 26 million to Mykolaiv region to restore energy, transport, water supply and humanitarian demining, which will help improve critical infrastructure and security in the region.
In addition, the country has already provided a €3.9 million grant for the purchase of nine PTS trolleybuses, six of which have already arrived in Mykolaiv and are preparing to start running, with the rest to follow shortly.
In late January, the city officially opened the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House, a space for learning, creativity, and cooperation among young people.
A project to create a barrier-free environment was also launched with the support of Denmark. The focus is on the arrangement of public spaces, including the construction of justice and social protection. By July 2025, the initiative plans to install about 20 ramps and other technical means to ensure the accessibility of urban space for people with disabilities, elderly citizens, and parents with strollers.
