Construction of a new deep freezing plant planned in Mykolaiv region

Mykolaiv region is planning to build a deep-freezing plant. This will help the region expand its export potential, create new jobs and increase revenues to the regional budget.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Vitaliy Koval , Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, visited one of the processing enterprises in Mykolaiv region that specializes in food production. The company produces canned fruit and meat, ready-to-eat meals, dried vegetables and fresh salads.
Despite the difficult military conditions, the plant continues to operate. The company has more than 8,500 square meters of production space, employs about 60 people, and has invested €12 million. The company plans to build a deep-freeze plant in the future.
"Each investment is a step towards transforming Ukraine from an agricultural country into an agro-industrial one," Vitaliy Koval said.
The Minister thanked the company's management for their dedication and emphasized that Ukrainian farmers play a key role not only in ensuring the country's food security but also in strengthening the global food market.

During the visit, the Minister met with representatives of the agricultural sector, including producers, processors and farmers. The main topics of discussion were the restoration of irrigation systems, the development of the processing industry, and the need to increase the limits on soft loans.
In 2025, Mykolaiv region became the leader in terms of lending to agricultural enterprises, with 14 companies receiving financial support worth over UAH 300 million. Under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9 program, 10 companies in the region raised UAH 40.7 million.

In 2024, Mykolaiv region farmers exported products worth USD 700 million, which is 96% of the region's total exports. More than 170 farms have resumed operations, and about 3,000 agricultural enterprises report on their work.
The region's farmers also received more than 207 thousand hectares of land for farming. In 2024, 212 enterprises in the region purchased 282 pieces of equipment, which reduced costs by UAH 38 million.
