On August 27, the process of transferring ownership of the Belgorod-Dniester Commercial Sea Port was completed. The port, which was sold at auction last November, is now fully privately owned.
This was announced on Facebook by the port's director Oksana Kiktenko.
In her post, she listed the key stages of privatization:
- 26.03.2020: Order of the SPFU on the decision to privatize.
- 07.11.2024: The auction was held and Top-Offer LLC won.
- 27.02.2025: The main sale and purchase agreement is signed.
- 17.07.2025: The approval of the Antimonopoly Committee was obtained.
- 22.08.2025: Port acceptance certificate signed.
- 27.08.2025: State registration was carried out, and the port officially became the property of TOP OFFER LLC.
Kiktenko expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in the process, and especially to the owner of the winning company, Volodymyr Prodyvus, noting that this decision "returned the team's confidence in the revival of an important enterprise for the city and the country."
Earlier, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi seaport signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Georgian company Batumi International Container Terminals LLC (BICT). As part of this cooperation, it is planned to launch a ferry to Batumi. According to her, the purpose of the memorandum is to attract cargo traffic through the Middle Corridor by expanding cargo handling capabilities.
This is the second memorandum of cooperation signed by the Belgorod-Dniester port on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TICT), or the Middle Corridor. BICT operates and manages container, ferry and general terminals in the seaport of Batumi, Georgia. The port administration plans to transform the port of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi into the largest TTM hub on the European side of the route.
