In 2024, veterans in Mykolaiv received business development grants worth more than UAH 67 million. The Made in Ukraine offices are already operating in Mykolaiv and Pervomaiske, and will open in Bashtanka and Voznesensk districts by the end of the year.
This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
On Thursday, November 14, Dmytro Oboronko, director of the Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center, held an online meeting with local entrepreneurs on the Dialogue between Government and Business platform.
The event was attended by Mykolaiv Regional Deputy Director Mykola Marinov, Head of the Regional Economic Development Department Oleksandr Korolev and about 50 other people.
The meeting focused on business support programs offered by the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Business: vocational training, advanced training, vouchers, grants and microgrants, compensation for employers, vocational selection, recruitment, and consultations at the Made in Ukraine office.
According to Dmytro Oboronka, the services of the state employment service are constantly updated and targeted at a wide market: entrepreneurs, employers, the unemployed and all job seekers.
In the area of vocational training, the Mykolaiv DEC provided services to more than 800 clients over the year, with a special focus on attracting women to vacancies traditionally held by men.
Voucher training covered more than 150 professions, and this list is constantly growing. In 2024, 461 vouchers were issued for more than UAH 5.8 million, with the maximum value of one voucher being UAH 30,280.
Regarding grants and microgrants for veterans and their families: this year, 278 people received positive decisions, which allowed for the creation of 550 new jobs. The total amount of funding amounted to UAH 67.5 million. This is an important tool for integrating veterans into society and the economy.
More than 500 employers received compensation worth more than UAH 8 million for hiring unemployed, displaced, disabled people and newly created jobs.
Mr. Oboronko also spoke about the work of the "Made in Ukraine" offices, which provide support on national and international programs for Ukrainian producers. Such offices are already operating in Mykolaiv and Pervomaisk, and will open in Bashtanka and Voznesensk districts by the end of the year.
The first regional office of Madein Ukraine to support small and microbusinesses in the region was launched in July. Here, existing and future entrepreneurs will be able to get professional advice, assistance in preparing documents for grants and participation in other government grant programs to support business, and learn about regional programs and projects that can be used in parallel.
The second office was opened in Pervomaisk in September. Such offices are part of the Government's strategy to support domestic producers, in particular aimed at stimulating production, attracting investment, and developing non-resource exports.
The regional platformDialogue between Government and Business was launched in October. The platform aims to establish cooperation between entrepreneurs and local authorities. During this meeting, each entrepreneur will be able to express their proposals for improving the economic climate in the region and the problems that hinder business development.
At the end of October, a new stage of the mini-project competition "Early Business Recovery in Southern Ukraine" began. The authors of the most promising projects will receive funding of up to UAH 180 thousand to purchase equipment or other business-related expenses.
