This year, Odesa region has been allocated over UAH 116 million from the state budget to modernize school canteens and almost UAH 130 million to provide meals for primary school students.
This information was made public during an offsite meeting in Odesa by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
He also said that this year the region has allocated more than UAH 500 million for the construction of school shelters, and almost UAH 57 million has been allocated for the purchase of school buses, which will allow children from remote areas to get to educational institutions faster.
It should be noted that the Centers for Finance and Economic Activity and educational institutions of four districts of Odesa held tenders to select companies that will supply food for schoolchildren. In particular, Prymorskyi and Peresypskyi districts chose Fabrika Smaku LLC, and Kyivskyi and Khadzhybeyskyi districts chose Ration Group, a private enterprise.
According to the YouControl service, Fabrika Smaku LLC was registered in 2015. The owners are Ihor Levinzon and Olha Boholyubova, and is owned and operated by Maksym Yatsenko, the owner and director of the private enterprise Ration Group.
In September 2024, the first 10 modern school buses purchased at the expense of the state and local budgets were handed over to the communities of Odesa Oblast. Another 16 buses are to be delivered by mid-October.
Thebus supplier was selected at a full-fledged auction, in which three other companies took part in addition to the winner: Bas Auto Limited Liability Company, Zhytomyr-Auto LLC, and Cherkasy Bus Joint Stock Company. The offer of Etalon Auto LLC was the most favorable of all. The company agreed to supply buses for UAH 86 million 996 thousand.
