Brave1, a regional office of the cluster for the development of military technologies in Ukraine, has started working in Odesa region and is selecting developments for the military.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Administration.

The support cluster was launched on April 26, 2023. It is represented by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov , and Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn.

As of October 20, 2023, the Brave1 project has funded 68 projects worth USD 1 million 220 thousand. Grants are issued in the amount of USD 5 thousand and USD 250 thousand.

Brave1's focus is on 5 areas:

  • Invest: Provide grants to developers that are prioritized for the needs of the security and defense forces
  • Invent: Helping security and defense forces find effective technological solutions in the Ukrainian developer community
  • Platform: To create a platform that unites all industry stakeholders
  • Showcase: Ensuring interaction with defense forces by demonstrating developments and receiving feedback on their use
  • Boost: Provide comprehensive support to projects prioritized by the security and defense forces.

Earlier, the Kherson 124th TRO Brigade received new special equipment - anti-drone guns. The guns "jam" the drone's signal, causing the enemy drone to lose control and the ability to perform its function. The equipment was handed over to the Armed Forces by the staff of the Energoatom Company.
