The ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdenne have handled 75 million tons of cargo since the start of the temporary export corridor.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
At the same time, 50.1 million tons of these cargoes are products of Ukrainian farmers. Ukrainian goods were exported to 50 countries in all directions - Africa, Asia, Europe and America.
On March 15, 2024, the Ukrainian Corridor, which runs through the ports of Greater Odesa, began operating around the clock, which increased exports of agricultural and other products by 20%.
Instead, on the night of October 5-6, the Russian invaders committed another act of maritime terrorism, grossly violating the laws and customs of war. The civilian vessel PARESA, flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, was damaged during a nighttime drone attack near one of the berths in the Pivdennyi seaport.
August 16 marked the one-year anniversary of the start of the export corridor's operation, and by then the volume of cargo transportation had exceeded 64 million tons. At the time, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that Ukrainian exporters had increased sales by 35% in the first half of 2024, reaching pre-war export levels.
In July, the military reported that the capacity of the Ukrainian sea corridor had been expanded over the past six months.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that a record amount of cargo was transported in the first 10 months of the Ukrainian Sea Corridor's operation.
After Russia withdrew from the grain deal, the ports of Greater Odesa were blockaded, which posed a serious threat to global food security, as Ukraine is one of the world's main grain suppliers.

Accordingly, with the help of the UN and Turkey, Ukraine organized a humanitarian corridor that allowed it to resume grain exports and provide access to more than 40 countries.
