Mykolaiv Region Entrepreneurs Receive Financial Support to Expand Production

Mykolaiv region has selected seven winners of the first regional competition for financial support for small and medium-sized businesses in 2024. Each of them will receive up to UAH 200 thousand for the development and increase of production of goods, provision of services or performance of works.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Mykola Marinov, chairman of the tender committee , emphasized the importance of supporting entrepreneurs in wartime, as they help strengthen the region's economy, expand the market for goods and services, and create new jobs. According to him, this compensation will be an important incentive for investment in the industrial sector of Mykolaiv region.

Volodymyr Yevseyev, secretary of the tender committee, noted that this year's participants included companies engaged in growing grain crops and wholesale trade in chemical products.

The competition was held as part of the Small and Medium Business Development Program in Mykolaiv Region for 2021-2025.

Currently, business support in the region is growing. Thus, eight Mykolaiv entrepreneurs received financial support worth UAH 410 thousand each to implement their business ideas. A total of 16 entrepreneurs from Mykolaiv and neighboring communities took part in the competition. The participants were trained, consulted by mentors and presented their business plans for evaluation by the committee.

In addition, 12 entrepreneurs and one farm in Bashtanka district received microgrants to start and develop businesses in such industries as land management, trade, dental practice, crop production, hairdressing, accounting, clothing and accessories, and grain growing.

Recently, the secondMade in Ukraine office in the region was opened in Pervomaisk to support small and micro businesses in the region.

At the new office, entrepreneurs will be able to receive advice and assistance in preparing documents for participation in government programs, including grants for veterans, compensation for the employment of internally displaced persons, training and retraining programs, etc.

In addition, the Recovery and Development Office has launched a new project called the Mykolaiv Entrepreneurs Support Window. The project's goal is to increase the competitiveness of local businesses. The project initiators plan to provide support in finding grant programs, give advice on how to get them, and help in writing grant applications.
