In Mykolaiv, another contract was signed for the establishment of an organ transplant support laboratory. More than UAH 10 million was allocated from the local budget for this purpose.
This is evidenced by the data of the electronic public procurement system Prozorro.
The Department of Urban Development, Architecture and Capital Construction of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration signed an agreement for the reconstruction of a part of the food unit of the regional clinical hospital. The renovated premises are to house a laboratory to support organ transplantation and anatomical materials.
The contract value amounted to UAH 10 million 609 thousand 143. The contractor must complete the work by December 31, 2025.
The agreement was signed with Interbud Construction Company LLC. According to the justification for the project, the department received a letter from Olha Voronina, a private entrepreneur, about the need to perform additional work on the facility, as well as a letter from Interbud LLC with a warning about the circumstances that may arise when the general contractor is changed.

The first contract with the contractor was signed in September 2023. At that time, the tender stated that the works should be completed by December 31, 2024. The company was paid more than UAH 22 million, but the contract was canceled in October.
The new facility will be located at 1 Kyivska Street in Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital. The laboratory is intended to become a key element in the development of transplant medicine in the region.
According to the DREAM platform, the laboratory will provide diagnostics, analysis, and storage of biological materials necessary for transplants and other important medical procedures. The project budget is UAH 24 million 139 thousand 470.

The Mykolaiv Organ Transplantation Laboratory will be the third interregional laboratory in Ukraine: currently, similar facilities operate only in Kyiv and Lviv, serving the central and western regions. The new facility will have specialized equipment for analyzing and processing biomaterials.
The laboratory in Mykolaiv will be focused on the southern region, covering Odesa, Kherson, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Earlier, in May 2024, a new laboratory was launched in Mykolaiv to support patients at all stages of organ transplantation. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for genetic analysis and offers a full range of tests, from initial patient selection to transplantation during and after surgery.
