Million-dollar repairs without auction: Zatoka selects a contractor to restore children's sanatorium

A tender has been announced in Odesa Oblast and a contractor has already been found to repair the children's sanatorium of the Ministry of Health Zatoka. It is located in a resort village that has been repeatedly targeted by Russian missile attacks.

The auction in the format of open bidding with special features took place on November 8. It was attended by a single participant who offered to carry out the repair work for UAH 1 million 231 thousand, which is only UAH 6 thousand less than the budget. Thus, private entrepreneur Valeriy Shevchuk was awarded the contract without competition. The company is currently waiting for the contract to be signed with the customer.

According to the tender documents, the contractor is to replace more than 740 square meters of roofing, install new doors and windows. All works are to be completed by December 5 this year.

According to the YouControl service, Valeriy Shevchuk, a private entrepreneur, is registered in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odesa Oblast.

It should be added that Zatoka is regularly shelled by the Russian Federation. In particular, the buildings of sanatoriums and recreation centers are hit. As of August, the Russians damaged 41 non-residential buildings and 118 residential properties in the village. Most of them were damaged by more than 20%.

In the evening, on October 30, Russian troops launched a massive rocket attack on the Odesa region. The enemy attacked the bridge across the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi estuary in Zatoka, Odesa region.

A total of 8 X-59/69 guided missiles were fired from tactical aircraft over the Black Sea and 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Crimea.

Meanwhile, in Odesa, the Pylon West company will repair tram tracks. This company is repairing a multi-storey building at 54 Akademika Zabolotnoho Street, which was damaged by a Russian drone attack on New Year's Eve.
