The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food added that this week the state received UAH 41.1 million from sublease of agricultural land at the Land Bank's online auctions through Prozorro.Sale. After taxes, the total economic effect may reach UAH 49.3 million.
Land plots were put up for auction in seven regions: Kirovograd, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions. The total area of these lands is 2,413.5 hectares.
The 14 auctions were attended by 85 bidders, mostly local farmers and agricultural enterprises. On average, each auction attracted 28 bidders.
Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaliy Koval noted that 68% of the winners were small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises with up to 60 employees. He emphasized that thanks to the transparent bidding system, such enterprises are able to lease state land, which contributes to the development of their business.
