With the support of the U.S. Agency, a mini-project competition "Early Business Recovery in Southern Ukraine" has been announced for entrepreneurs from Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions, as well as for those who have ideas for starting their own business.

You can apply for participation until October 30 at 15:00 by filling out an online application form. The competition is open to individual entrepreneurs, citizens of Ukraine, including IDPs, aged 18 to 65, who live or do business in Odesa, Mykolaiv or Kherson regions.

The main requirement is to complete the educational program, which consists of three training modules lasting 7 days and two visits to successful businesses in the region. Training dates vary depending on the level of experience of the participants and the region they come from.

The program includes crash courses on doing business during the war, creating business plans, and working with investors. After the defense of their projects, the authors of the best ideas get the opportunity to receive equipment or cover other expenses to develop their business.

In total, 56 participants are competing for support for 26 best business ideas, which receive up to UAH 180 thousand each. The project is being implemented by the Resource Center for Community Initiatives with support from USAID UCBI: Strengthening Public Trust and Confidence in Ukraine.

A regional platform "Dialogue between Government and Business" was recently launched in Mykolaiv. The platform was created to quickly solve business problems at the local level. Each entrepreneur will be able to express their proposals for improving the economic climate in the region and the problems that hinder business development.

Kherson-based manufacturers also presented their products and services at theMade in Ukraine business forum. The main topics of discussion at the forum were ways to support business, its contribution to the country's economy, and innovative solutions for sustainable development and recovery.

The Odesa Economic Revival 2024 forum was held inOdesa. The forum discussed the economic challenges faced by the country during the war and possible ways of development. Ukrainian business has already adapted to the war conditions. At the beginning of the war, Ukraine had only three drone manufacturers, but now there are more than 700, and the country continues to develop unmanned systems.

In 2024, Ukrainian companies filed more than 18,000 trademark applications. Over the past 10 years, 267,692 applications have been filed. The most patented areas are business activities, advertising, medical products, and educational projects.
