A regular meeting of the regional working group"Transparency and Accountability" was held in Kherson region.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
During the meeting, they considered the use of regional budget funds for the program of prevention and elimination of emergencies in Kherson region.
One of the administrators, HOKARS, carries out restoration work on buildings damaged by enemy shelling. This year, UAH 97.5 million has been allocated for the service under the program. Almost UAH 79 million has been financed: UAH 62.1 million for the maintenance of the service, UAH 7.3 million for the purchase of construction materials, and UAH 9.4 million for the repair of shelters.
The Department of Civil Defense and Defense Work of Kherson Regional Military Administration received UAH 49.2 million in funding over 9 months. The funds were used to protect critical infrastructure facilities, purchase building materials and mobile shelters, rent equipment and support the work of the Situation Center for Data Collection and Analysis.
"As a result, the responsible persons were instructed to strictly control the targeted use of budget funds," said Dmytro Butriy, First Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Another issue was the purchase of necessary medical equipment for one of the region's hospitals. The management of the medical institution requested permission to purchase modern medical devices to ensure more effective treatment of patients. In particular, the medical institution urgently needs an automated bacteriological analyzer that allows determining the sensitivity of patients to more than 90 antibiotics five times faster than manual methods. Its cost is approximately UAH 1.8 million. They also discussed the need to purchase 2 devices for inhalation anesthesia, as the existing equipment is outdated and often fails. The cost of one such device is UAH 2.6 million. In addition, the hospital needs two new operating lights, which will cost from UAH 1 million to UAH 1.3 million per unit.
"We have analyzed the proposals submitted by the doctors in detail and decided to recommend the purchase of this equipment in compliance with the requirements of public procurement legislation," added Mr. Butriy.
