Almost 15 million tons of cargo have been exported through the temporary export corridor in the Black Sea in 5 months.
This was announced by Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Of these, 10 million tons are products of Ukrainian farmers.
"Over the 5 months of the corridor's operation, 469 new vessels have entered Ukrainian ports for loading. Currently, 39 vessels are being loaded in the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi. Another 83 vessels have confirmed their readiness to call at the ports and export 2.4 million tons of cargo," the minister said.
Earlier, Valeriy Tkachev , Deputy Director of the company's Commercial Department, said that the average daily volume of grain unloading in the ports of Greater Odesa is 1,533 railcars. In the Danube ports, 84 railcars of grain are unloaded per day.
Valeriy Tkachevreminded that the capacity of the Podilsk-Rozdilna-Odesa-Zastava section is limited. Currently, Ukrzaliznytsia is working to increase its volume from 47 to 50 pairs of trains per day.
Odesa region ranked fifth in Ukraine in terms of exports in 2023.
The share of Odesa region in the export of goods in 2023 amounted to 4.9%, which brought the region to fifth place in this indicator.
This was announced by Oleksiy Dmytrenko, Acting Director of the Department of Economic Policy and Strategic Planning of the Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration.
In the context of further prospects for foreign trade, the Department hopes that the volume of exports of goods through the "humanitarian corridor" will continue to grow.
As of December 27, 2023, the ports of Greater Odesa continue to load ships. There were 36 ships in the Black Sea, most of which were headed for the Danube.
Between the temporary export corridor in the Black Sea, which was created after Russia disrupted the grain deal, 200 vessels sailed out of Odesa's Chornomorsk and Yuzhny ports.
In addition, starting January 1, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to increase prices for cargo transportation services, including the provision of empty wagons for loading at Reni, Giurgiulesti, and Galats stations.
