On April 30, in Odesa, the Ministry of Culture presented Thousand Years, a government initiative with a budget of 4 billion hryvnias to support cultural projects.

An Intent correspondent attended the presentation.

Representatives of the media, cultural sphere, public sector, state cultural institutions, content creators, artists and creative teams, as well as students and teachers of cultural and artistic educational institutions were invited to participate in the event.

"Thousand Days is the largest state project to support the creation of a Ukrainian cultural product with a budget of UAH 4 billion, initiated by the President of Ukraine. Its goal is to strengthen contemporary Ukrainian culture, support authors and teams financially, and strengthen the connection between society and the country through cultural content.

In Odesa, the initiative was presented by Tetiana Berezhna, Minister of Culture of Ukraine, Hanna Krasnostup, Director of the Department of Strategic Communications and Promotion of Ukrainian Culture at the Ministry of Culture, and Andriy Osypov, Head of the State Film Agency of Ukraine.

NGOs, creative unions, state and municipal institutions, businesses (including LLCs), individual entrepreneurs and other organizations registered in Ukraine can apply for the project.

"We are a creative nation and there should be more stories about Ukraine. We don't want to have a situation where we don't speak for ourselves, but someone speaks for us. That's why we are launching this program: to create a cultural product in various fields - cinema, music, performing arts, visual arts, short films for social media and audiovisual shows," said Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna.
