Soldier Petro Konoplya, who in 2024 complained about the conditions of his stay in the regional psychiatric hospital No. 2 in Odesa and went on a hunger strike, starred in the new video for the song "Zhyvy" by the Boombox band.

On Friday, October 10, the Boombox band presented a new song "Zhyvy" and its video. Boombox posted the video on their official YouTube channel.

The lyrics were written by Andriy Khlyvnyuk, the band's frontman. Music by: Pavlo Lytvynenko, Inna Rossomakha, Oleksandr Liuliakin, Valentyn Matiuk, Dmytro Kuvalin, Andriy Khlyvniuk. The video was directed by Stas Gurenko. Petro Konoplya plays the role of a soldier who has returned home for a short time.

Andriy Khlyvnyuk himself joined the ranks of the Armed Forces at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. He fought during the battle for Kyiv, fought in the Kherson sector and other hot spots.

On August 21, Petro Konoplya revealed the inadequate conditions in the psychiatric hospital in Odesa, where military personnel are treated. He complained about poor quality food and mold on the walls of the wards. The man went on a hunger strike. After that, an inspection was launched at the hospital.

The head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, visited the medical facility and said that the hospital had purchased food through the Prozorro electronic procurement system. He then promised that the administration would review the food policy in the medical institution and select a new food supplier.

Earlier, Stanislav Servetsky, director of the Odesa psychiatric hospital, said during a press conference for journalists that the institution is not equipped to prepare special meals for the military. According to him, the hospital does not have sufficient financial and technical capabilities to prepare specialized food. Its menu is designed for all patients and includes cooking food that is easier to digest.
