Two MPs from Kherson region received suspicions from the SBU for helping the enemy army

Two deputies from Kherson region were suspected by the SBU of cooperating with the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation. Both actively helped the invaders manage the community and form the budget of the occupation administration.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU Office in Kherson region.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, these arerepresentativesof the Oleshky city and Vynohradiv village councils of the Kherson district. According to the investigation, after the seizure of the region, they voluntarily supported the invaders and participated in illegal elections to the so-called "council of deputies of the Oleshky city district."
Having received "deputy mandates", both actively participated in the work of the occupation body. One of the defendants became a member of the "counting commission" of the pseudo-council and participated in a secret ballot for the election of the "head of the district". Another deputy joined several "standing committees," helped to form the occupiers' budget and supported the work of their illegal administrative system.
She also held meetings with young people, spreading pro-Russian narratives and urging community members to join the collection of "material aid" for the army of the aggressor state. In addition, she participated in working meetings with representatives of the Russian Federation, where she received instructions on the implementation of Russian legislation in the temporarily occupied territories.
Based on the evidence gathered, SBU investigators served both MPs with suspicion notices in absence of cooperation. They face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Also, SBU investigators in Kherson region served a notice of suspicion to a resident of the region who actively cooperated with the Russian administration during the occupation and organized the operation of elevators in the interests of the aggressor country. According to the investigation, his actions caused material damage to the state in excess of UAH 115 million.
