Odesa resident sentenced for transferring TCC routes

In Odesa, a court sentenced a woman who used Telegram to systematically "leak" the locations of the TCC's work from the streets of the city. The messages included specific intersections, bus stops, and even stores where mobilization activities were taking place.

The court sentenced a woman who for several months had been transmitting to Telegram channels the exact locations of the military and police during mobilization activities.
The messages mentioned, among other things, the intersection of Mala Arnautska and Staroportofrankivska streets, where she said she stood with the police, as well as the area of Odesa railway station near the bus stop #25, where three representatives of the TCC were located. She also pointed to vehicle checks at the intersection of Preobrazhenska and Mala Arnautska, active stops of people and cars near the Antoshka store, and a large gathering of the TCC and the SBU at the corner of Yevreyska and Kateryninska.
In addition, the messages mentioned checks at the tram stop near the ATB on Zastava-2, checkpoints on Dalnytska Street opposite the school, and traffic control at the intersection of Melnytska and Akkordna near the park.
She published all this in chats and channels that were positioned as a source of "the most up-to-date information about the summonses" - the audience of one of them exceeded 28 thousand subscribers.
Law enforcers found that on the dates in question, TCC mobile groups, along with the police and the National Guard, were indeed working at these locations. They noted that the dissemination of such data allowed persons liable for military service to avoid being served with summonses, which directly affected the mobilization process.
At the trial, the woman fully admitted her guilt, said she regretted what she had done, and confirmed all the circumstances of the case - when, where and how she had done it.
She said that from February 13 to October 26, 2024, she wrote messages to Odesa Chat via social media. In these messages, she indicated the location of the TCC military checkpoints, and then this information was disseminated in another channel.
According to her, at the time she did not realize that such actions were subject to criminal liability, and if she had, she would not have done it.
The woman also asked the court to take into account that she has a good character, is raising a young daughter and asked not to impose a prison sentence on her.
The court found her guilty as charged and sentenced her to 5 years in prison. At the same time, the woman avoided actual imprisonment - she was given a probationary period of 1.5 years. She also had her phone confiscated, which was used to make the publications.
Also in March, another resident of Odesa was sentenced to two years of probation for obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces and justifying Russia's armed aggression.
