Kherson region humanitarian headquarters dispatcher's arrest for high treason extended

Mykolaiv has extended the arrest of an employee of the humanitarian headquarters in Kherson region, who is suspected of treason for passing information about the location of Ukrainian military to Russia. He will be kept in custody until the pre-trial investigation is completed.
This is evidenced by the decision of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.
According to the investigation, the suspect, dissatisfied with the policy of the Ukrainian authorities and professing pro-Russian views, began to pass information about the location of the Armed Forces units to Russian representatives in August 2025.
In particular, he used his own cell phone and a messenger account through which he corresponded with a user registered with a Russian telecommunications operator. During the correspondence, the suspect sent photos from Google maps with military locations, including individual coastal defense brigades, their coordinates and the possibility of identification on the ground. The data covered several strategic facilities and units involved in repelling Russian aggression.
The first recorded transmission of information took place on August 20, 2025, followed by August 21 and August 29. All the messages contained precise coordinates and photos of territories with military positions, which allowed a foreign state to obtain strategic information for subversive activities against Ukraine.
The suspect was detained on November 7, 2025, and on the same day he was notified of suspicion under Article 111, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - high treason under martial law. The investigating judge of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv imposed a measure of restraint in the form of detention without the possibility of bail. The pre-trial investigation was extended until February 7, 2026.
During the court hearings, the suspect denied his guilt, claiming that he had been a Russian citizen since 2022 and acted as a citizen of that state. The defense counsel asked the court to leave the decision to its own discretion. However, the court extended the detention until the end of the pre-trial investigation.
Also in Kherson, the pre-trial investigation was completed and the case against a local resident suspected of collaborating with the Russian military was sent to court. Investigators believe that he was passing data to the enemy that was used to adjust strikes on the city.
