A 46-year-old Odessa resident who passed on the coordinates of district tactical command centers and joint operations centers, as well as military facilities in Odessa, to the enemy has been sent to a pretrial detention center.
This was reported by the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
They explained that the Odessa resident was recruited by a representative of Russian counterintelligence via the Telegram messaging app. Following his handler’s instructions, he collected and transmitted geolocation data for district command and control centers and joint operations centers, military units, and one of the military facilities in Odessa.

In addition, following Russian missile and drone attacks, the suspect would travel to the impact sites, photograph the aftermath of the strikes, and send the collected materials to a representative of the Russian special services.
According to investigators, this data could have been used to adjust follow-up strikes on the city.

Law enforcement officers detained the man while he was carrying out another assignment. During a search, they seized his cell phone containing correspondence with his handler, as well as materials that, according to the investigation, confirm his collaboration with Russian intelligence services.
The suspect has been formally charged with treason. The court has ordered him to be held in custody without the possibility of bail.
