In Odesa region, a court found guilty a woman who disseminated information about the movements of military recruiting centers and mobilization points. Her actions allowed persons liable for military service to evade conscription.
This is evidenced by the verdict of the Bilyaevsky District Court of Odesa Oblast.
According to the investigation, the woman used her own cell phone and Viber account to post messages in a public group with more than 4,000 members. She reported on the movements of the military units of the TCC and JV, the location of checkpoints and mobilization points.
In particular, in January 2025, she posted messages about the movement of the military in the direction of the settlements of Vyhoda and Belyaivka, noted that "another one arrived" or "the second one went to Vyhoda", recorded the movement of law enforcement officers and the military, pointed out checkpoints and their location near gas stations. In February and March, she continued to publish details about the movements of police and military personnel in the TCC, as well as posted photos of checkpoints with cars. In April, she noted the regular movements of mobilization units towards Vyhoda.
The court found that on the dates and places indicated in the messages, mobilization activities were indeed carried out by members of the military, the National Police and the National Guard, and the dissemination of such data could reduce the effectiveness of mobilization and pose a threat to the country's defense capability.
During the pre-trial investigation, the accused fully admitted her guilt and sincerely repented. The court found her guilty of obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period and sentenced her to five years in prison. At the same time, the actual sentence was replaced by a suspended sentence with a probationary period of two years. The court also returned the bail of over UAH 121,000.
In another case, on the contrary, in Odesa, the court extended the detention of a TV channel administrator. She was accused of obstructing the work of territorial recruitment centers and spreading pro-Russian propaganda.
