Collaborators from Kherson region received sentences for treason during the occupation

The court convicted in absentia two residents of Kherson region who collaborated with the Russian invaders during the occupation. Both held senior positions in illegal authorities and contributed to the establishment of the occupation regime.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU in Kherson region.
The court found guilty of collaboration two residents of Kherson region who sided with the aggressor state during the temporary occupation of the region. The sentences were passed in absentia based on evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine.
One of the convicts is Andriy Lopushenko, a resident of Hornostayevsky district. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupiers and headed the body they created - the so-called "Kostiantynivka Territorial Administration".
In this position, he ensured the functioning of the illegal administration, was responsible for recruiting staff, organized material and financial activities, and received citizens, creating the appearance of government work. In addition, he agitated local residents to support the occupation regime.
Another convict is Oleksiy Malyonkin from Kherson, who headed a fake "municipal district" in the captured village of Ivanivka. He was involved in making illegal decisions, disposing of property and budgetary resources, and participated in the activities of pseudo-deputy bodies aimed at strengthening the occupiers' power.
The court found both defendants guilty of collaboration and sentenced them to 8 and 10 years in prison. The investigation was conducted by the SBU in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
Also, former Odesa official Roman Nalyvanyi, who was previously linked to apartment scams, was convicted in absentia for cooperation. The court found that after the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, he headed the so-called housing office in the Suvorov district of Kherson.
