A soldier from the Territorial Defense Forces was stabbed in the Odesa region

On September 26, in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odesa Oblast, an unknown assailant stabbed a servicemember of the Territorial Defense Forces, who is a combat veteran. The attacker fled the scene after the incident.

This was reported by the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

The attack occurred during a public alert. The unknown assailant stabbed the serviceman from the district TCC and SP, then fled the scene.

The wounded man was immediately taken to a medical facility, where he underwent the necessary surgery. His condition is currently stable, and he remains under medical supervision.

The Territorial Recruitment Center clarified that the victim is a combat veteran. He was wounded while defending Ukraine on the front lines, after which he was transferred to the Territorial Recruitment Center for further service.

Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation and search operation to identify the attacker and apprehend him.

The Odesa Regional Territorial Recruitment Center emphasized that an attack on a service member while performing official duties is a serious crime. They also urged citizens to comply with the law and refrain from unlawful actions against military personnel.

Similar incidents have occurred in the Odesa region before.

For example, in Odesa, a TCC servicemember was hospitalized with a stab wound. In another incident, during a public alert, a man attacked military personnel with a screwdriver. He attempted to flee, and the driver who was helping him was detained.

Also, on December 28 in Odesa, a man suspected of attacking a TCC servicemember with a knife was detained. During the arrest, he attempted to flee and physically resisted. Additional police units were called in to subdue him.

Earlier, a resident of the Odesa region was sentenced to five years in prison, suspended, for wounding a TCC soldier with a knife.
