An indictment against a 36-year-old journalist who disseminated Russian propaganda has been filed with the court. The defendant will be tried in absentia.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators believe that the correspondent worked for three years for a pro-Russian online publication that is part of a Russian state-owned media holding company. From March 2022 to June 2025, he systematically prepared and disseminated propaganda materials in support of Russia.
In his stories and reports, the defendant covered the activities of the occupation administration and the work of Russian military personnel, and also spread narratives about the alleged “reunification” of the temporarily occupied territories with the Russian Federation.
Previously, Intent reported that the man wasalso involved in the takeover of “Suspilne. Kherson.” He participated in discrediting the broadcaster, shutting down Ukrainian television broadcasts in the Kherson region, and filmed segments on reconfiguring the TV tower to broadcast Russian television channels.
Previously, Tetyana Levandovska, a former TV host from Kherson, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She headed the “information department” duringthe occupation. Two witnesses confirmed that she visited the offices of the occupying authorities daily and personally recorded her presence in the relevant logs.
Prior to the full-scale invasion, Levandovska worked as a host for the Kherson Regional Television and Radio Company “Skifiya,” hosted her own programs, collaborated with Suspilne as a private entrepreneur, and managed the social media accounts of the Kherson Water Utility.
