The manager collected tribute from businessmen in Kherson region and squeezed their property

An Armenian citizen is suspected of aiding the Russian occupiers - he works in the occupation administration of Kakhovka and helps to nationalize property. The SBU has notified him in absentia of suspicion of aiding the enemy - he faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation.
This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalism with reference to the published suspicion.
Vardan Alaverdyan, a 40-year-old Armenian citizen, is suspected of aiding the enemy - he works in the occupation administration of Kakhovka, helping the Russians to "squeeze" property and enrich the mayor Pavlo Filipchuk. The SBU has already served Alaverdyan with a notice of suspicion in absentia, and he faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
According to the investigation, since 2022, Alaverdyan has been actively involved in the formation of the occupation "authorities" in Kakhovka. He holds the position of administrator in the administration, is engaged in illegal inventory of public and private property in five communities of the Kakhovka district and is looking for hidden office equipment in former self-government bodies.
In March 2023, Alaverdyan officially applied to the pseudo-fund of property of Kherson region with a request to grant permission to seize the archive of the State Geocadastre in Kakhovka - this was part of the process of "nationalization" of Ukrainian property in favor of Russia.
In addition, he plays a key role in a corrupt scheme to raise money for the so-called "charity fund" of the occupiers - "Lepta", which is controlled by collaborators Igor and Svetlana Brzezycki. According to media reports, Alaverdyan extorted money from local entrepreneurs, threatening to confiscate their businesses. The money collected ended up in the pockets of the gauleiter Filipchuk and the Brzezycki family.
Alaverdyan himself is a native of Armenia and a resident of Nova Kakhovka. Ihor Brzezycki, with whom he works, is known as a former deputy of the regional council from the Party of Regions, an Orthodox radical. In the summer of 2022, Ihor Brzezycki misappropriated property belonging to the Kakhovka city community. He is also known as a co-founder and chairman of the board of Kakhovka Experimental Mechanical Plant.
Also, 41-year-old Oleksandr Parkhomyuk from Brylivka, Kherson region, was sentenced in absentia to 12 years for aiding the aggressor state. Before the invasion, he worked at the Kherson branch of the State Enterprise "USPA", where he organized the delivery of equipment and repairs of barges - at that time the occupiers were moving the captured vessels from Kherson to Hola Prystan.
