Teacher from Kherson region promoted hatred of everything Ukrainian and received 10 years in prison

The educator was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison for collaborating with the occupiers - in 2022, she headed the school No. 3 in Kakhovka, created by the invaders, and participated in a "referendum." Despite the conflict with collaborators, the woman continues to support the occupation authorities.
This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalism with reference to the court verdict.
Boyko was born on July 8, 1988, in the village of Zelenyi Pod, Kakhovka district, and lived in Kakhovka. In the past, she taught Ukrainian and foreign literature at the Novokakhovka Professional College of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University named after Dmytro Motornyi, but left her job long before the full-scale invasion.
In the summer of 2022, after the occupation of Kakhovka, Boyko agreed to head the so-called "Kakhovka School No. 3" created by the occupation authorities. She tried to establish an "educational process" there according to Russian standards, participated in the filming of propaganda videos, and also contributed to the illegal referendum in September 2022. However, she failed to actually launch the school - it never started working.

The court verdict stated that Boyko allegedly worked as a Ukrainian language teacher at school No. 3, but local teachers say they have never encountered her in the city's educational institutions.
Initially, this "school" was headed by another collaborator, Ihor Demenko, who, according to testimonies, actually appeared there only to sleep. It was he who helped to appoint Natalia Boyko to the position. Subsequently, a conflict arose between them: she called him a "jackal" and publicly mentioned his past, including his dismissal in 2019 as headmaster of school No. 5 due to a corruption scandal.
The court found Boyko guilty under parts 3 and 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of all property, as well as a ban on holding public office, participating in education and electoral processes for 15 years. The sentence has not yet entered into force.
Iryna Bondar, a lyceum director from Kherson region, was also sentenced to 12 years in prison for collaboration. In July 2022, after the occupation of the Genichesk district, she agreed to head the so-called Novotroitsk School No. 1, where she campaigned for children to join the Unarmy and promised teachers bonuses.
