Residents of Mykolaiv passed the coordinates of defense facilities to the enemy and received 15 years with confinement

Residents of Mykolaiv region were sentenced to 15 years in prison for passing the coordinates of Ukrainian military facilities to the Russians. The two were recruited in pro-Russian telegram channels and transmitted data to the enemy via messengers.
This was reported by the SBU Communications Department.
Two more residents of Mykolaiv region were sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for adjusting Russian strikes on the region. This became possible thanks to evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The investigation found that both men acted separately and passed the coordinates of Ukrainian logistics centers and backup command posts to the enemy. They were recruited in pro-Russian telegram channels that promised quick money.
One of the convicts, a 44-year-old security guard from Snihurivka, tracked the movements of Ukrainian soldiers and transmitted the information to a chatbot linked to Serhiy Lebedev, nicknamed "Shaggy," who operates in the occupied territory and cooperates with the Russian Federal Security Service.
The second one, a 47-year-old unemployed man from Mykolaiv, took photos of defense facilities in the city and sent them to his FSB handler via messenger.
The SBU detained one of the traitors in June 2023 and the other in December 2024. During the searches, their phones with evidence of cooperation with the enemy were seized.
The court found them guilty of high treason under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code). The investigation was conducted by the SBU in Mykolaiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
An adjuster who worked for Russian special services was also sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason. According to the investigation, he passed the coordinates of the Ukrainian military in the city to the FSB, and also monitored civilian infrastructure that had no military significance but could have become targets for shelling.
The traitor was a 47-year-old resident of Mykolaiv. He was spotted by Russian special services after he began actively spreading anti-Ukrainian comments and publicly calling for missile strikes on the city in pro-Russian Telegram channels.
