In a colony in Mykolaiv region, an employee set up a drug supply channel for prisoners. Law enforcement officers have completed the investigation and sent an indictment to court.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

Law enforcement officers have completed an investigation into the organization of drug supply to the Kazankivska Correctional Colony No. 93 in Mykolaiv region. The indictment has already been submitted to court.

According to the investigation, the prisoners arranged for the drugs through the colony's supervision and security inspector. The order was made in such a way that the parcel was received by this employee, who then transferred it to the territory of the colony, and the convicts paid him for the delivery of drugs.

As noted in the press service, in October 2025, law enforcement officers foiled another attempted delivery, finding drugs during an internal control check of the colony.

The inspector is now in custody. He was charged with illegal possession and transportation with intent to sell narcotic and psychotropic substances under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Under this article, the suspect faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. The facts about the drug suppliers were separated into separate proceedings.

In addition, a court in Mykolaiv found a 27-year-old resident of Kherson guilty of illegal sale and storage of drugs and psychotropic substances. According to the investigation, in October 2024, the man placed 18 polymeric "bookmarks" with a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance PVP near the Orange residential complex in Mykolaiv. After that, he took photos of all the caches and sent them to his "customers", thus ensuring the delivery of drugs to buyers. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
