The Central District Court of Mykolaiv has imposed a pre-trial restraint on a 19-year-old resident of the region who is suspected of preparing a terrorist attack near the police administrative building.

According to the court's press service, the girl was sent to custody without the right to be released on bail.

According to the investigation, she got in touch with representatives of Russian special services via the Telegram messenger. There, she was given the coordinates of an explosive device and instructions on how to connect it and deliver it to the building of the National Police in Mykolaiv region. Following the instructions, the girl arrived at the designated place, but at the moment when she was about to plant the explosive, she was detained by law enforcement officers.

At the court hearing, the suspect pleaded guilty. She said that she was looking for a part-time job, after which she received an offer from an unknown person to perform a "task" for a reward. The girl realized that she was transporting explosives, but trusted the assurances of her supervisor that "everything would be fine."

The defense counsel asked the court to choose a lighter measure of restraint for his client, citing her sincere repentance, strong social ties, psychological pressure from the Russian special services and cooperation with the investigation. However, the court decided to keep the girl in custody without the possibility of bail.

Intent has already written how Russian special services recruited a 19-year-old student for a terrorist attack in Mykolaiv. She was supposed to plant explosives near the police administrative building.

Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv regional police department, reacted to the incident and addressed teenagers and young people who may be tempted to make easy money on the Internet. He warned that there will be no real payments from the enemy, and the end for such "performers" is always the same - either they will be eliminated by the Russians themselves or detained by the Ukrainian special services, which will lead to a prison term of 10 to 15 years.

Kim advised those who receive such "offers" to act differently - to take the money in advance, but not to perform any criminal acts, and to immediately inform the Ukrainian special services.

On February 14, an explosion in a cafeteria in Mykolaiv killed three servicemen of the Mine Action Center.

Recently, the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized another agent group of Russian special services in Mykolaiv, detaining four people who were in charge of drone strikes on the city. In addition, the SBU CI detained a 35-year-old recidivist who was recruited while serving a sentence in a Russian penal colony and was involved in adjusting air strikes on the city.

At the same time, the Zavodskyi District Court of Mykolaiv is considering the case of Eduard Shevchenko, former commander of the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center and former official of the Ochakiv City Council, who was accused of treason for his cooperation with Russian special services.
