The court imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention on a resident of Kherson region suspected of aiding the Russian occupiers. He assisted in their resettlement and provision, but denied his guilt.
This was reported by the press service of the Central Court of Mykolaiv.
The investigating judge imposed a preventive measure on a resident of a village in Beryslav district, Kherson region, who is suspected of aiding the aggressor state under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the petition, the suspect, during the temporary occupation of Kherson region, facilitated the settlement of Russian military in the village, and urged local residents to support the enemy and receive Russian passports for a reward. He also arranged for the delivery of food to the occupiers, organized a workshop for repairing equipment, and helped to equip an underground command post.
During the court hearing, the suspect did not admit his guilt and claimed that he was only delivering food to local residents. After the de-occupation, he moved to another region and obtained the status of an internally displaced person.
The defense counsel objected to the choice of a preventive measure in the form of detention, pointing to the strong social ties of the suspect, his age and health, and asked for house arrest. However, after examining the evidence, the court decided to keep the suspect in custody without the possibility of bail.
The court also ruled to keep in custody the former head of a Kherson enterprise suspected of collaborating with the Russian occupation administration. According to the investigation, he facilitated the creation of an enterprise controlled by the occupiers and organized the export of property.
In addition, the SBU neutralized another agent group of Russian special services in Mykolaiv - four people were detained who were adjusting missile and drone strikes on the city. The main targets of the enemy were reserve command posts and logistics warehouses that supply the Defense Forces in the southern direction.
The court extended the arrest of another collaborator who assisted Russia in the war against Ukraine. According to the investigation, he supported pro-Russian views and passed on to an enemy agent data on the movements of Ukrainian troops, which could be used to attack the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
