MP from the "Servant of the People" party Yuriy Poputko has headed a separate division of the public organization "Protection of the State".

This became known from the data of the YouControl analytical system.

According to the investigation, in 2018, the department entered into an agreement with a private company to develop land management projects. Despite the fact that the documentation was created without a mandatory state examination and could not be implemented, Poputko signed the acts of completion and payment orders. As a result, the company was illegally transferred UAH 870 thousand from the department's account.

In 2024, he was notified of suspicion and an indictment was submitted to the court. Poputko was not detained and released on his own recognizance. The case is ongoing. The next hearing is scheduled for October 2025.

The municipal enterprise Agrofirma Radhosp Bilozerskyi, which until recently was headed by Kherson City Council member Yuriy Poputko, has been in bankruptcy proceedings since 2023. The court proceedings are ongoing, and there is already a decision to recover more than UAH 9 million in debt from the company. The bankruptcy case has already accumulated more than 60 procedural documents.

As a reminder, in 2024, the court imposed a pre-trial restraint on Poputko, releasing him on his own recognizance. According to the prosecutor's office, in 2018, the Department of Natural Resources of the Kherson Regional State Administration initiated a tender for the development of land management. A private company from Kherson won the auction and entered into an agreement with the company. Before the contract expired, the then head of the department accepted the work performed. However, law enforcement officers found that the resulting land management projects could not be implemented.
