The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office has submitted to court an indictment against a local resident who collaborated with the occupiers and publicly justified the war. The man headed a theater created by the Russians and became an active propagandist for aggression against Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Law enforcement officers submitted to the court an indictment against a local resident suspected of encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, cooperation with the aggressor state in the field of information activities and public justification of war (Part 1 of Article 110, Part 6 of Article 111-1, Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation found that in July 2022, a man with openly pro-Russian views agreed to head the so-called "State Budgetary Cultural Institution "Kherson Regional Theater for Young Audience", created by the occupation authorities.

This institution was used to spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda, hold mass events and actions aimed at forming a distorted view of Ukraine, spreading narratives about alleged Ukrainian "fascism" and justifying Russian aggression.
The accused actively spoke on the seized Tavria TV channel - recording TV broadcasts, giving interviews during public events, supporting the occupation, approving the actions of the Russian army and calling for the so-called accession of Kherson region to the Russian Federation. His statements were repeatedly disseminated in videos on the channel's digital platforms.
Also, 45-year-old Tetiana Nazarenko headed the joint editorial board of the occupation newspapers, including Naddnepryanska Pravda and Kakhovska Zarya. According to the head of the Kherson regional organization of the NUJU, Valeriy Dolina, in December 2024, she was expelled from the journalists' union because of her cooperation with the occupiers. Prior to that, Nazarenko worked in journalism in Kherson region for almost 20 years: she was a radio host, headed the press service of the regional administration, and worked for the Vgoru publication before the invasion.
