A teacher of Kherson Maritime College taught cadets history according to the Russian model

An educator from Kherson is suspected of collaboration for implementing Russian education standards in a seized college and teaching propaganda history. She also organized classes in Russian and developed an educational program with ideological influence.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation found that in August 2022, while in the temporarily occupied territory, she voluntarily accepted the position of "deputy director for organizational and educational work" at the seized Kherson Maritime College of Fisheries.
In September-October, the educator even temporarily acted as the director, after which she returned to her previous position.
The woman was engaged in the selection of teaching staff, emphasizing the implementation of Russian education standards, participated in the work of the admission committee as deputy chairman, and processed applicants' documents.
She also organized classes in Russian, taught "history" using Russian propaganda, and drew up an educational plan that included holidays with an ideological impact on the cadets.
Law enforcement officers served the 39-year-old woman a notice of suspicion of collaboration in absentia under Part 3 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The educator was also sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison for collaboration - in 2022, she headed the occupiers' school No. 3 in Kakhovka and joined the pseudo-referendum. Despite conflicts with other collaborators, the woman still supports the occupation regime.
In addition, a lyceum director from the Kherson region was sentenced to 12 years in prison for collaboration. Iryna Bondar recruited new teachers, provided the school with textbooks from a Russian publishing house, and campaigned for students to join the pro-Kremlin organization Unarmia.
