She promised a better life under the occupiers: a court in Mykolaiv region sentenced a collaborator to six years in prison

In the Mykolaiv region, a resident of a village headed the village council under the occupiers and was engaged in propaganda among her fellow villagers. She was sentenced to six years in court for collaboration.
This is evidenced by the ruling of the Snihuriv District Court of Mykolaiv region.
A 64-year-old resident of Pavlivka village, Bashtanka district, was sentenced in absentia to six years in prison for collaborating with the occupiers.
According to the court's verdict, during the occupation, the woman voluntarily headed the Pavlivka village council, which functioned within the illegally created "military-civilian administration of the Snihuriv district of the Kherson region."
In this position, she was responsible for administrative and economic tasks: organizing the work of the illegal apparatus, collecting data on socially vulnerable categories of the population and passing it on to the occupation administration.
The woman was engaged in propaganda among local residents, promising that there would be a better life under the occupation authorities and persuading them to cooperate with the enemy. She also collected information about vacant houses in the villages to transfer them to the balance sheet of the village council.
The court found her guilty of collaboration, sentenced her to six years in prison with confiscation of property and banned her from holding public office for 15 years. The sentence will take effect after she is arrested or voluntarily reports to law enforcement.
Another resident of Snihurivka was sentenced to six years in absentia for collaboration and cooperation with the occupiers. She took a position as an accountant at an enterprise and implemented the invaders' policies. The accused signed payroll statements and issued salaries in rubles. She went to work every day. Later, she left for the city of Kherson and did not return.
Recently, a court in Mykolaiv found another woman guilty of treason and sentenced her to 15 years in prison. On the night of July 18, 2023, during the shelling of Mykolaiv, the woman began to correspond on Telegram with the administrator of the chatbot, agreeing to send him photos. She collected data on the shelling of the city and sent it to the enemy agent.
