Among the city hall officials in Mykolaiv, Alexander Tsukanov, head of the Korabelny District Administration, received the highest amount of vacation pay and financial assistance over the first eight months of 2026—208,100 hryvnias.

This is according to a report by the Center for Public Investigations.

Analysts examined the payments made to 17 executives of the Mykolaiv City Council’s executive bodies for January–August 2026.

According to their data, almost all of the officials have already taken vacation time. The only exception is the head of the Department of Culture and Arts, for whom this cannot be determined: vacation pay was reported as a single lump sum along with sick leave and business travel expenses.

Only 10 out of 17 officials received health benefits. Therefore, the rest most likely took only a portion of their vacation time.

Many people split their vacation time into several shorter periods:

  •  the head of the Central District Administration was paid vacation pay in February, May, and August;
  •  the deputy head of the Asset Management Department received it in May, June, and July;
  •  the head of the Korabelny District Administration received it in February, June, July, and August.

Along with the main portion of their vacation, they receive financial assistance for health and wellness. The amount does not exceed the average monthly salary.

Four heads of district administrations also received assistance to address social and living issues.
