Modern halls for rehabilitation of military personnel are to be created in Mykolaiv's Zorya sports complex

The city of Mykolaiv decided to renovate gyms for the rehabilitation of military personnel and citizens. More than UAH 6 million was allocated from the city budget for this purpose.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream ecosystem.
It is planned to overhaul two gyms on the first floor of the Zorya sports complex with the installation of equipment for sports rehabilitation.
The main goal of the project to overhaul the gyms is to install sports equipment for training and sports and physical rehabilitation of citizens and military personnel, increase the energy efficiency of the facility, and adapt the gyms for modern use.

The work project involves the overhaul of two gyms: a gymnasium and a cardio room. Main activities:
- Interior decoration of the premises.
- Replacement of sports equipment and flooring.
- Installation of ventilation, acoustics, fire alarm, heating and electric lighting systems.
- Insulation of floors and improvement of energy efficiency.
- Providing access for people with limited mobility.
The capacity remains unchanged: 35 people per shift (20 in the gym, 15 in the cardio room). The gyms are scheduled to operate 360 days a year, in two shifts of 8 hours each.
The creator of the project is Mykolaiv City Council, the balance holder is the Central City Stadium, and the executor is the Capital Construction Department.
The project budget is UAH 6.5 million. Of this amount, UAH 6.2 million will be spent on capital expenditures, and UAH 249.1 thousand on operating expenses. The project was financed from the city budget.

The project takes into account the rehabilitation needs of war victims and veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For fire safety, evacuation exits, fire alarms, and warning systems are provided. The engineering systems will be automated and the equipment will meet modern standards.
There are also plans to reconstruct the students' art center into a modern innovation center to house the non-profit organization Mykolaiv Water Hub. More than twenty million hryvnias are to be raised for this purpose. The goal of the Mykolaiv Water Hub project is to create an innovation center for the development of water technologies, environmental sustainability, and water conservation in the city.
The renovation of the ASCinMykolaiv exceeded nine million hryvnias. A favorite of Mykolaiv departments is doing the repairs, and the agreement with the company was extended for another year. According to the agreement, the contractor was supposed to complete the renovation of the ASC on December 10, 2024. However, additional agreements were signed with the contractor and the contract was extended.
