In Kherson, major repairs of an apartment building damaged as a result of hostilities are starting. More than 400,000 UAH have already been allocated from the local budget, and another 7 million is planned to be raised.
According to the Center for Public Investigations, citing the Dream ecosystem, the main goal of the project is to restore the housing stock, return the building to a safe condition, and compensate for the losses caused by the hostilities.
Major repairs have begun on a part of an apartment building at 5 Ivan Vazova Street, which was heavily damaged by armed aggression.

The project involves the restoration of the building's enclosing and load-bearing structures, which will bring it back to a safe operating condition. The shell hit damaged apartments from the 6th to the 9th floors of the second entrance: the outer walls on the 7th and 8th floors, the internal structures on the 8th and 9th floors, and the missing floors between the 7th and 8th floors.
The total budget of the project is UAH 7.4 million, of which UAH 5.7 million is earmarked for capital expenditures. At the moment, the confirmed funding is UAH 425.5 thousand, which is only 5.75% of the total amount. These funds were allocated for the development of design and survey documentation for the facility back in 2023.

The project is executed by the Kherson City Council, and the balance sheet holder is the Association of Co-Owners of the Vazova-5 Apartment Building. The project implementation is controlled in accordance with the order of the Head of the Kherson City Military Administration of 2023. The project is in line with the local development program and is included in the regional recovery portfolio.
In addition, the restoration of an administrative building is planned in the village of Nova Kamianka, Kherson region. The project envisages the construction of a modern building that will become a community management center and administrative services for local residents. The estimated budget for the project is UAH 96.3 million.
