In the Kherson region, part of the funds for the reconstruction of the water supply system damaged by shelling were financed by Germany. The project will ensure a stable supply of quality water for 1,840 residents and 17 institutions. The works should address the consequences of the war damage and facilitate the return of people to the community.
According to the Center for Public Investigations, citing the DREAM digital recovery ecosystem, a large-scale reconstruction of the water supply system is starting in the village of Borozenske, Beryslav district.
The project is being implemented as part of the Unified Project Portfolio (UPP) and aims to provide round-the-clock centralized water supply for nearly 1,840 residents and 17 community institutions, including a hospital, schools and other social facilities.

Borozenske's water supply system was severely damaged by Russian aggression. It is currently operating in an emergency mode: frequent gusts, water losses, deterioration of water quality and unstable supply make life difficult for residents, prevent people from returning to their homes and hinder the post-war recovery of the community.
The project envisages a complete reconstruction of the network, including
- replacement of old water towers in Rozhnovske,
- construction of new water tanks near the wells,
- laying of about 17 km of modern polyethylene pipes to replace outdated ones
- installation of wells, shut-off valves and fire hydrants,
- connecting nearly 700 subscribers to the upgraded network,
- backup power supply to the wells via diesel generators.

The estimated cost of the project is UAH 188.6 million. The main spending unit is the Kherson Regional State Administration. The project is implemented by Vodoley & K, Borozen Village Council, and Delta Projectconsult Ukraine. The city budget allocated UAH 92.7 thousand for the project. More than 2 million was covered by the German government through the U-LEAD with Europe program.

According to the description, the reconstruction of the water supply is one of the priorities of the Comprehensive Community Recovery Program. The project meets the goals of the regional and state development strategies and contributes not only to improving sanitary conditions but also to economic development.
In addition, a project to overhaul the water supply system has been launched in the village of Tavriyske, Kherson district. More than UAH 26 million is planned to be spent to eliminate the emergency. The project should ensure a stable water supply for more than 560 residents, reduce water losses, and improve network efficiency.
In Kherson, the overhaul of a multi-story building damaged by shelling is starting. More than 400 thousand hryvnias have already been allocated from the local budget, and about 7 million more are planned to be raised additionally. The main goal of the project is to restore the housing stock, ensure the building's safe condition, and partially compensate for the damage caused by the war.
