UAH 48 million to be raised to restore lyceum in Mykolaiv region

The reconstruction of a lyceum damaged by enemy shelling is planned in Mykolaiv region. More than 48 million hryvnias are to be raised to restore the school.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream digital recovery ecosystem.
The project was initiated by the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Shevchenkivska Village Council.
It is planned to overhaul the interior of the Shevchenko Lyceum building. In April 2022, the school building was damaged by shelling from Russian troops. The shells damaged the school's roof, classrooms on the second floor, and offices on the ground floor.
The total budget of the project is 47 million 700 thousand. Of this amount, 30 million 800 thousand will be spent on capital expenditures and 17 million 900 thousand on operating expenses.

The goal of the project is to ensure uninterrupted access to educational services for students. According to the project description, the scope of work includes the restoration of interior spaces, repair of walls, ceilings, floors, and utilities. As a result, it is expected to improve the quality of the educational process, create comfortable conditions for students and staff, and improve the energy efficiency of the building.

The project is currently in preparation and requires funding.
The Mykolaiv region is also looking for funding to adjust the reconstruction of the school. The reconstruction of the Resurrection School began in 2017. As part of the reconstruction of the building, a number of measures are planned to improve its technical condition and ensure safety. The project budget is UAH 37.3 million.
In addition, an agreement was signed in Mykolaiv region to repair the shelter, which was scheduled to be built in 2019. More than UAH 19 million was allocated from the budget. The tender was won by a company that was registered almost a year ago, but this did not prevent the company's beneficiary from earning more than UAH 40 million in public tenders.
France provided UAH 306 million for the construction of a school farm. The Mykolaiv National Agrarian University is planning to create an educational, research and production complex that will combine the construction of a pig farm, a biogas plant for generating biogas and electricity, a waste pellet production line, solar power plants, a thermal complex and a mini-meat processing plant.
