Two Mykolaiv kindergartens decide to repair shelters

Two kindergartens and a nursery school are to be renovated and equipped with shelters for children. More than six million hryvnias were allocated from the budget for this purpose.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro procurement system.
The customer of the work was the municipal enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council "Zakhyst".
Thus, it is planned to repair and equip shelters in kindergarten No. 52 and kindergarten No. 103.
Thus, the expected cost of repairing kindergarten No. 52 is UAH 3 million 214 thousand 964. The arrangement and repair of kindergarten No. 103 amounts to UAH 3 million 006 thousand 698.
The bidding is scheduled for October 10. The minimum price reduction step is 50% of the purchase amount. According to the tender documents, the winner will be paid 30% of the contract amount in advance, and the rest - after acceptance of the work. The bidders are not required to provide a bid security, nor is the procurement contract to be executed.
The repair work to be performed by the contractor includes changing the floor level, strengthening the foundations, painting, plastering, changing doors, repairing concrete steps, installing plumbing, laying water supply, electricity, heating, etc.
The repairs and arrangement of the shelters for children should be completed by December 20, 2024.
In September, the Government allocated more than UAH 550 million for the construction of school shelters in Mykolaiv region. Ensuring safety during the educational process is a key priority. So far, more than 70% of schools in the region have already started offline or mixed format classes.
According to the Department of Science and Education of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, there are 157 civil defense structures in educational institutions in Mykolaiv region, including 14 shelters and 143 radiation shelters. The simplest shelters were provided to 329 educational institutions.
Recently, another lyceum in Mykolaiv was equipped with a shelter, the Vulyk educational center was opened and a drinking water access point equipped with a reverse osmosis system was installed. After the renovation, the shelter became modern, comfortable and equipped with the necessary furniture, meeting all safety standards, and can now accommodate up to 1,000 students.
