It is planned to install 3 fire-tube boilers with burners with a thermal capacity of 10 MW each, replace network pumps, install boiler pumps and a booster station, etc.
The project has several key objectives aimed at modernizing the boiler house and improving its performance.
According to the project description, the modern equipment will help reduce fuel costs and increase the efficiency of the boiler house. This will reduce operating costs and make heat supply more cost-effective.
The project budget is UAH 233 million 900 thousand. Of this amount, UAH 114 million 400 thousand is allocated for construction, UAH 61 million 600 thousand for equipment procurement, and UAH 57 million 890 thousand for the project.

Modernization of the system will ensure stable and safe heat supply for consumers. Special attention will be paid to improving the condition of equipment and infrastructure. Modern technologies also reduce emissions of harmful substances, which has a positive impact on the environment in the region.
In addition, modernization helps to reduce maintenance costs, which ensures the stable development of the enterprise and its efficiency.
In 2023, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development partially financed the project and allocated UAH 57 million 890 thousand for the reconstruction of the boiler house.

The project is part of the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community Development Strategy until 2027 and has been in the process of preparation since June 2024. The estimated duration of the project is 24 months.
Denmark also provided UAH 35 million to Mykolaiv utilities for the purchase of mobile boiler houses. To improve the quality of heat supply in the city and increase the reliability of the systems, Mykolaivoblteploenergo plans to purchase six solid fuel mobile boilers.
In addition, 15 diesel generators are to be purchased to provide backup power sources. The project, which costs almost UAH 36 million, was also financed by international partners from Denmark. The project will significantly reduce the risks associated with power outages and improve the efficiency of the heating network.
