The city of Beryslav in Kherson Oblast, which suffers from constant enemy shelling, has received a modern generator from the Shelter Foundation to ensure water supply during power outages. The cost of this generator is more than half a million hryvnias.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream digital recovery ecosystem.
The project was initiated by the executive committee of the Beryslav City Council.

The aim of the project is to provide backup power for uninterrupted water supply in the community's settlements during the period of power outage.
The project has been implemented since September 2024. Its duration is 3 months.
According to the project description, the community's territory is located near the frontline, and most of it is in the zone of intense hostilities accompanied by regular shelling. This has led to a prolonged lack of electricity supply in the community's settlements. To provide the residents with drinking water, it is necessary to equip artesian wells with backup power sources. A high-capacity diesel generator is the most suitable for this purpose.
The project budget is 574 thousand hryvnias.

The legal basis for the project is a donation agreement. It is noted that the charitable organization "Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation" represented by Director Hvozdyar H.Y. donated a donation to the Beryslav City Military Administration represented by Chief Shapovalov O.M. in the form of a CATERPILLAR 120 KWT generator. Also, according to the Dream ecosystem, public funds were received in early 2023.
Currently, charitable assistance in restoring water supply to Kherson region communities is becoming more frequent. Thus, philanthropists donated equipment worth half a million hryvnias to restore water supply in three villages of the Beryslav community.
The project provides materials for repairing emergency sections of water supply networks in Urozhayne, Rakiv, and Beryslav villages. Urozhayne, Rakivka, and Tarasa Shevchenko villages. Funds for the project were provided by the Ranok Vidrodzhennia Charitable Foundation.
And the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as part of the WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) project, donated four million hryvnias worth of materials and energy-saving equipment for artesian wells to the Executive Committee of the Beryslav City Council.
