One million allocated from the budget for coastal protection in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv planned to build a coastal protection structure. The local budget allocated one million hryvnias out of the required forty.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the state digital ecosystem Dream.
New construction of a coastal protection structure along Lazurna Street in Mykolaiv is planned. The goal of the project is to create an effective and sustainable system of coastal protection against erosion and the negative impact of water masses.
The construction was initiated by the Mykolaiv City Council and executed by the Capital Construction Department.

The construction of this facility should increase the safety and stability of the city's infrastructure.
It will also ensure the protection of natural resources and the environment, as well as create better conditions for the development of the city and comfortable living for residents. The project will ensure the conservation of natural resources, regulation of water flows, and strengthening of the banks in Mykolaiv for a long period of time.
The project budget is UAH 40 million 56 thousand 59. UAH 34 million 379 thousand 414 is allocated for construction, and UAH 2 million 958 thousand 931 for other capital expenditures.

In 2020, the budget has already spent more than a million hryvnias on design and survey work, and almost 47 thousand on expertise.
It is planned to spend 493,330 hryvnias on technical inspection, the services of a consulting engineer will cost 896,400 hryvnias, and the author's supervision will cost 110,700 hryvnias. Since the design and estimate documentation for this project was developed in 2020, it is subject to adjustment, which means additional costs.

In 2020, the Mykolaiv City Council allocated UAH 1 million 217 thousand 284 from the city budget for the project.
The estimated duration of the construction of the coastal protection structure is 14 months. The project is currently under preparation.
In Mykolaiv, another tender for coastal protection works in the Velyka Korenyha neighborhood of Zavodskyi district failed. It was planned to spend UAH 1 million 670 thousand from the budget. The auction was announced twice, but the first auction was canceled, and the second did not take place due to the lack of bids.

In addition, they planned to build a modern wind farm. More than 800 million hryvnias are to be raised for this purpose. The main goal of the project is to ensure a stable and environmentally friendly supply of electricity for the Mykolaivoblteploenergo utility company.
