Mykolaiv is planning to build a modern wind power plant. More than 800 million hryvnias are to be raised for this purpose.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream ecosystem.
A new 12 MW wind power plant is planned to be built by Mykolaivoblteploenergo.
The main goal of the project is to ensure a stable and environmentally friendly supply of electricity for Mykolaivoblteploenergo. The project aims to reduce dependence on fossil energy sources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.

The new wind farm is planned to install six modern wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2 MW, which will generate a total of 12 MW of clean energy. This technical solution will help generate electricity efficiently while minimizing environmental damage.
The height of the turbines is up to 100 meters and the rotor diameter is up to 90 meters. The turbines will automatically shut down in strong winds.
The station will be equipped with a SCADA remote control system that monitors the operation of the turbines in real time. Sensors will monitor wind, temperature and other parameters to ensure that everything works as efficiently and safely as possible. Electricity will be transmitted through a transformer substation and underground cables to the region's main grid.
The project budget is UAH 804 million 172 thousand 70. Of this amount, UAH 135 million 300 thousand will be spent on the purchase of equipment, UAH 433 million 528 thousand 194 thousand on construction, and UAH 123 million 865 thousand 198 thousand on other capital expenditures.
Operating expenses include taxes and amount to 111 million 478 thousand 678 hryvnias.

The project is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by 15,000 tons annually, and the environmental impact will be minimized through environmental monitoring. According to the project description, this wind farm will be an important step in the development of clean energy in the Mykolaiv region, contributing to sustainable development and reliable supply of clean electricity to the region.
The project is planned to be implemented within 36 months.
Recently, green energy projects have been implemented more and more often in the Mykolaiv region. For example, Mykolaiv recently created a project to build solar power plants. The project is planned to attract more than UAH 300 million. The project has significant environmental potential, as solar energy is one of the cleanest sources of energy.

In addition, they decided to install cogeneration units. It is planned to spend almost one and a half billion hryvnias on this. Such installations will provide heat to about 100,000 consumers, 130 social institutions, 16 medical facilities, schools, kindergartens, and municipal social centers.
