Denmark provides 100 million for the reconstruction of two neighborhoods in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv is implementing a project to restore two city neighborhoods. Denmark has allocated almost one hundred million hryvnias for their reconstruction.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the DREAM digital recovery ecosystem.

The projects were initiated by the Mykolaiv City Council.

Thus, it is planned to restore the Lisky-1 and Lisky-2 neighborhoods. The purpose of the residential neighborhood reconstruction project is to create a living environment that will provide comfort and safety for its residents, as well as contribute to the sustainable development of the city.

According to the project documentation, thefirst stage of the assessment concerns the extent of the damage and the identification of certain repairs. This includes analyzing the structure of damaged buildings, infrastructure, and various systems. The next step isto develop a reconstruction plan that takes into account the needs of local residents, modern safety standards, and rational use of space.

In addition, it is planned to restore and modernize communication systems, such as water supply, sewerage, and power grids, as well as repair roads and other critical infrastructure. It is also plannedtorestore damaged buildings and build new structures based on modern construction technologies and energy efficiency principles.

The total budget for the reconstruction of Liski-1 neighborhood is UAH 55 million 500 thousand, and Liski-2 - UAH 44 million 400 thousand. The source of funding was Denmark.

The reconstruction of Lisky-1 will take 12 months, and Lisky-2 - 5 months.

The water supply system in Mykolaiv is also being reconstructed in connection with the construction of a new district heating network. More than UAH 12 million is planned to be raised for this purpose. The project involves modernizing the existing networks to avoid possible emergencies, improve the reliability of the water supply system and create favorable conditions for the development of urban infrastructure.

In addition, a new construction of a river grain terminal for grain transshipment is planned in Mykolaiv region. UAH 170 million has been allocated from the budget for this purpose. The project envisages the construction of a river grain terminal with a transshipment capacity of 10,000 tons of grain per day.

As of the end of September, 246 projects for the reconstruction of Mykolaiv were registered in the state digital recovery management system DREAM, with a total estimated budget of UAH 11.94 billion. In addition, recovery projects in Ochakivska, Kutsurubska, Chornomorska, Koblivska, Nechayanska, Snihurivska, Shyrokivska, Voskresenska, Bereznehuvatska, Bashtanska, Novobuzka, Novoodeska, Voznesenska, and Myhiyivska communities are also being added to the system.
