In the Kherson region, it is planned to build an underground sewage treatment plant. They are looking for more than eighty million hryvnias in funding.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream ecosystem.
According to the description, the project involves the creation of an 800 m³/day underground wastewater treatment plant that will operate on the technology of biological treatment of domestic and similar wastewater. The process is based on an aerobic treatment method. The facilities will be made of modern materials, fully automated and designed to minimize energy consumption.

The systems are controlled by specialized automation that can be easily integrated with other control systems. Thanks to this, the equipment can be installed regardless of the terrain and groundwater level. The treated wastewater is used for drainage, watering green spaces and irrigation of industrial crops. The project will not only help solve the problem of domestic wastewater treatment, but will also help improve the environmental condition of the area.
The project budget is UAH 81 million 300 thousand and consists of capital and operating costs. It is planned to spend UAH 20 million 131 thousand 768 on the purchase of equipment, construction will cost UAH 43 million 727 thousand 300, and operating costs will be UAH 17 million 413 thousand 136.

The goal is to provide the city with efficient wastewater treatment facilities for high-quality wastewater treatment using advanced technologies. This will help eliminate the harmful effects of insufficiently treated wastewater, which is currently discharged into surface water bodies, including the Dnipro River.
Beryslav's wastewater treatment plant, built in 1972, has been out of service since 2003 due to an accident, and its condition is in an emergency. The problem of old wastewater treatment plants is relevant for many Ukrainian cities, as most wastewater systems were built during the Soviet period and are now in need of renovation.

Recently, the Shelter Foundation donated a modern generator to Beryslav, which suffers from constant enemy shelling, to ensure water supply during power outages. The cost of this generator is more than half a million hryvnias.
The benefactors also donated equipment worth half a million hryvnias to restore water supply in the region. The condition of water supply systems in the community's settlements remains unsatisfactory. The main reason is the wear and tear of water pipes. Repair works are planned in three villages of the community.
