In Mykolaiv region, 100 million worth of goods disappeared from the company's warehouses

In Mykolaiv region, a court allowed investigators to access documents and property of two companies as part of an investigation into possible financial abuse and the disappearance of goods worth more than UAH 100 million.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.
The basis for opening the proceedings was a statement by the chairman of the liquidation commission of one of the enterprises, which was received by the Pervomaiskyi Police Department. He said that during an internal inspection, a significant shortage of products was found at the production site. The company's production facilities are located in Pervomaisk.
As investigators found out, in February 2025, the company recorded a shortage of goods and serious violations in the accounting system. On the same day, executives of another related company went to the site and confirmed that most of the inventory was missing. Only 81 tons of finished goods remained in the warehouses, mostly in the form of scraps, as well as 31 tons of rolling stock. These data were recorded in the inspection reports and confirmed by photographs.
The inspection also revealed that unauthorized persons had tampered with the 1C accounting system, making it impossible to compare the actual product balances with the accounting records. The preliminary value of the missing property was estimated at approximately UAH 100 million.
In addition, the warehouse manager reported that the previous management had taken all the warehouse and accounting documents to the head office in Kyiv, handing them over to an unknown person who arrived in a white minibus.
Subsequently, the company sent a formal written request to the former management to return the documents, seals and keys that were not transferred to the new management, but received no response.
The current management believes that the former officials intentionally concealed documents and property and, together with unidentified persons, seized the company's assets worth about UAH 100 million.
The investigation also revealed that numerous financial and business transactions were conducted between the two companies. To clarify all the circumstances, the police obtained a court order to access documents confirming the movement of goods and funds, including payment documents, tax and accounting registers, contracts, acts, invoices and other documentation.
The criminal proceedings were opened under Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - misappropriation or embezzlement of property. The documents obtained should help the investigation to establish the circle of persons involved and the detailed circumstances of the disappearance of the property.
Last year, in Mykolaiv, the court considered the case of Oleh Afanasiev, an MP from the OPFL, who is suspected of fraud with a soybean consignment worth more than $800,000. The investigation believes that to conceal the illegal export of grain, he staged a rocket attack on the warehouse.
