A judge from Kropyvnytskyi has been appointed to a new position in Odesa

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointedNataliya Varakina as a judge of the Odesa Court of Appeals. Prior to this, her nomination was endorsed by the High Council of Justice.

The text of the corresponding decree has been published on the President’s website.

The document states: “To appoint Nataliya Borisivna Varakina to the position of judge of the Odesa Court of Appeals.”

Prior to this, Varakina served as a judge of the Fortetskyi District Court in Kropyvnytskyi. She was appointed to that position in 2017.

What is known about the judge

In her annual declaration for 2025, Natalia Varakina listed her husband and daughter. Her registered and actual place of residence is Kropyvnytskyi.

In addition, in the real estate section, Varakina declared an 80-square-meter apartment in Kropyvnytskyi. The apartment belongs to Boris Pushkarenko, and the judge has the right to use it free of charge.

Varakina also uses a 2015 Toyota RAV4 owned by Boris Pushkarenko. She listed her right to use the car as the use of a vehicle owned by a relative.

For 2025, Natalia Varakina reported 1,471,127 hryvnias in salary from her position at the court. Her husband, Oleksiy Varakin, received 817,208 hryvnias in military pay and 18,887 hryvnias in social benefits.

The judge reported $5,000 in cash, while her husband reported $26,000.

As previously reported by Intent, Dmytro Tsekhan, a professor at the Odesa Law Academy, was also appointed to the position of judge at the Odesa Court of Appeals.

In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees appointing Ruslan Abukhin, Olena Tavlui, and Oleksandr Prysakar as judges of the Odesa Court of Appeals.

Anna Lebedeva was also appointed to the position of judge of the Fifth Administrative Court of Appeals, which operates in Odesa.
