The company from Vilkul's orbit will earn another 12 million on elevators in Odesa

In Odesa, elevators in various high-rise buildings will be repaired for almost UAH 12 million. The contract was awarded to a company associated with Vilkul's family.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.
On May 29, the Department of Municipal Economy of Odesa City Council signed four contracts for the overhaul of elevators in residential buildings in the city. The total cost of the work is UAH 11.6 million. All orders went to Steel Made LLC. The company was awarded the contract without open bidding.
The works are to be performed at the following addresses:
- 8 Transportna Street - repair of 2 elevators, UAH 2.9 million
- 9 Levanevskogo Street - 1 elevator, UAH 1.5 million
- 150 Dobrovolskoho Ave. 4 elevators, UAH 5.7 million
- 101-A Levitan Str. - 1 elevator, UAH 1.5 million
According to youcontrol, Steel Made LLC was founded in 2021 by Oleksandr Vasylkov, a resident of Kryvyi Rih, former director of Kryvyi Rih Meerkat Plant. Some of the shares in this plant belong to Tetiana Mykhalenko, who is called in the media the daughter of Yuriy Vilkul, the longtime mayor of Kryvyi Rih, and the sister of Oleksandr Vilkul.
According to Nikcenter journalists, after the start of the budget allocation, Petro Zaika, a former chief engineer of PJSC Stalkanat-Silur, became the head of Steel Made. This company is associated with Anton Mykhalenko, who is also mentioned as the former son-in-law of Yuriy Vilkul.
Steel Made LLC has repeatedly received contracts in Odesa. In March 2025. The Department of Municipal Economy made three purchases for the overhaul of elevators in multi-storey buildings. The total cost of the work amounted to UAH 8.3 million.
For the past 10 years, Odesa City Hall has been giving preference to companies related to the acting mayor of Kryvyi Rih and the secretary of the Kryvyi Rih City Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, when selecting a contractor to repair elevators in the city. Over the past year, Odesa City Hall officials have procured elevator repair services for UAH 165 million, and 108 million of that was awarded to the local company Steel Made.
